Feast of the Epiphany celebrated in church. Don’t miss singing “We Three Kings” — an absolute classic carol (even if it’s a little theologically suspect!). Star-themed crafts and colouring will be available for children.

Breathe returns after the Christmas break.
Tuesday 6th January – 1:30pm
Requiem Mass for Gillian Dungate. All are warmly welcome.
Wednesday 7th January
Book Club returns after the Christmas break. We will be starting a new book: The Greatest Story Ever Told by Bear Grylls.
Thursday 15th January – 11:00am
Requiem Mass for Father Donald, followed by a reception in the hall. Please do come if you are able — this is a special opportunity to give thanks for a much-loved priest and parishioner.

St James Players Christmas Panto — this year’s production is
Peter Pan. Tickets are available on the door or via their website.

Annual Service of Prayer for Christian Unity, organised by Mthr Katie
and Churches Together in New Malden, and hosted by St James.
Please do support this service as we come together in an act of solidarity.

Sunday 1st February – 10:00am
The Feast of Candlemas celebrated at the 10am service, with candle-themed crafts for children.
Sunday 8th February
Name Tag Sunday! Have you spoken to someone so many times that it feels
awkward to ask their name? This is the answer to your prayers!
Everyone is invited to wear a name tag (we will provide one, or bring your own),
and there will be an opportunity during the service to speak to a neighbour and
learn their name. A relaxed, friendly and fun service.
11:00am–1:00pm: PCC Lunch and Planning Mission Day.
Saturday 14th February – 2:30–4:30pm
Winter Mindfulness and Meditation Afternoon on the theme of love,
led by Mthr Katie. A mini retreat (booking requested).
Take time out for yourself and God in a relaxed and welcoming space. No experience
necessary — all activities are entirely invitational. Participate as you are able.
Refreshments will be provided.
Wednesday 18th February – Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday. We are offering two services:
Midday: Celtic Communion (20-minute service with ashes)
7:30pm: Full Communion with choral music.
Wednesday 25th February – 10:45–11:45am
Launch of the Lent Book Club (in church). A chance to meet together before Celtic Communion and lunch to discuss. Runs throughout Lent.
Wednesday 25th February – 7:30–8:30pm
Launch of Churches Together Lent Talks. Save the date — more details to follow. These talks will run every Wednesday throughout Lent.
March
Sunday 1st March – After the 10:00am Service
Parish Brunch in support of the Bishop’s Lent Appeal. Always popular, so please book early.
Saturday 14th March – 2:30–4:30pm
Lent Craft and Colouring Afternoon in church, led by Mthr Katie.
Booking required as materials will be provided.
Designed to be relaxing, quiet and contemplative. No skill needed and suitable
for ages 7–107.
Saturday 14th March – 7:00pm for 7:30pm
Quiz Night in the Church Hall. £5 per person.
Sunday 15th March – Mothering Sunday
Mothering Sunday service with daffodils for adults, crafts for
children, and cakes after the service.
Join us for a very special service suitable for all ages.
